Dream Foundation fulfills final Dreams of Veterans and their families, caregivers

Dream Foundation is the only national dream-granting organization for terminally ill adults. The organization has served more than 34,000 final Dreams since its inception in 1994, and receives no state or federal funding, relying solely on private donations. Dream Foundation created Dreams for Veterans in 2014 to tailor the Dream experience to Veterans, service members and their families. The program acknowledges these groups and honors their service by fulfilling their final Dream, providing them, their families and caregivers inspiration, comfort and closure at the end of life.

Moultrie Veteran Receives Dream Trip to Washington

MOULTRIE, Ga. — One terminally ill veteran is receiving his lifelong dream trip to visit war memorials in Washington, D.C.

North Florida — South Georgia Veterans Health System and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association partnered with the Dream Foundation to deliver a Dream to David Chapman III at his home Friday morning.

Making the Final Dreams of Terminally-Ill Veterans Come True!

John served with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and was haunted by memories of those who lost their lives there. When he learned that his cancer was terminal, he dreamed of visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., to pay his respects. But he didn’t have the means to do so.

Virginia SAR honors veteran at Vietnam Memorial

On January 22, 2023, the Colonel James Wood II Chapter of the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution participated in program to honor a veteran held at the Vietnam Memorial, Washington, D.C.

David Chapman of Moultrie, Georgia, is a veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He has become terminally ill, suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and requires an oxygen tank to assist in breathing. He received a lifelong dream trip to visit the war memorial in the nations capitol. This was provided by the Dream Foundation in partnership with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Georgia Chapter 25-5. The Dream Foundation serves terminally ill adults and their families by providing end-of-life Dreams to veterans, providing inspiration, comfort and closure.
